This warranty applies **only to the original purchaser** and is **non-transferable**. During the warranty period, CEC agrees to repair or replace, at its sole discretion and without charge to the purchaser, any defective part of the product. All defective products must be returned to CEC within **thirty (30) days** of failure. *Repaired products shall carry the same amount of remaining warranty as the original purchase, or ninety (90) days, whichever is greater.* --- # Service and Support All service is to be performed at CEC. If you experience a problem with a product purchased from CEC, please contact [Technical Support](https://support.clintonelectronics.com) at 800-549-6393** **during normal business hours (Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. CST). The technician may go through a troubleshooting checklist to help isolate the problem. Support for Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) is limited to the DVR hardware itself. CEC is unable to assist with networking issues such as disabling firewalls, routing ports, or configuring routers and modems. *If a DVR is returned for repair, all hard drives are subject to formatting and all data will be lost. We recommend backing up data to a secondary source before sending a unit for service. CEC’s liability for any claim—whether based on breach of contract, negligence, infringement, or product liability—shall not exceed the purchase price paid by the customer for the affected product. CEC shall not be responsible for, nor does this limited warranty extend to, any consequential or incidental damages of any kind, including but not limited to: - Cost of removal or installation of the product - Injury to persons or property damage - Loss of use, data, goodwill, or profits - Claims by third parties - Work stoppage or downtime - Impairment of other goods *Regardless of the cause or any prior knowledge of possible damages, these limitations shall apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.* --- # Automatic Termination of Warranty Obligations Warranty coverage is automatically voided if product defects or failures result from any of the following: - Misuse, abuse, negligence, vandalism, or accidents - Improper use, installation, or operation (mechanical or electrical) - Environmental damage (moisture, humidity, heat, dirt, sand, etc.) - Power surges, spikes, reversed polarity, incorrect voltage, or poor electrical conditions - Unauthorized repairs, tampering, or modifications - Removal of serial numbers or quality seals - Damage during improper shipping or insufficient packaging - Failure to perform normal maintenance - Intentional damage, dropping, or physical impact - Use of indoor products outdoors or other applications outside specified conditions *It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure proper power and environmental conditions.* --- ### Normal Wear & Tear Periodic maintenance, repairs, and part replacements due to normal wear and tear are excluded from coverage. *Note: Warranty on LCD screens does not cover panel damage caused by prolonged image display (commonly known as “burn-in”).* --- ### Unauthorized Service or Modification Defects or damages resulting from service, testing, adjustment, relocation, re-installation, maintenance, alteration, or software modification by anyone other than CEC or an authorized service provider are excluded from coverage. --- # Advanced Replacement Warranty The Advanced Replacement Warranty applies only to products within the first year of the standard three-year CEC warranty, beginning from the original shipment date. If a product fails within this period, CEC will ship a replacement in advance of receiving the defective unit, subject to the following conditions: - The failure occurs within one (1) year of the original shipment date. - The issue is not excluded under the [Automatic Termination of Warranty Obligations](https://clintonelectronics.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CECdocs/pages/2314043398/Warranty#Automatic-Termination-of-Warranty-Obligations) section. - After the first year, products remain eligible for standard warranty repair only. - Replacement units ship the next business day after RMA approval. - CEC covers shipping for the replacement; the customer covers return shipping. - Customers will be invoiced for the replacement and credited upon receipt of the defective product. - If the returned product is functional or excluded from warranty coverage, the customer remains responsible for the invoice. - Products not returned within 30 days of the RMA date will not receive credit. - CEC may supply either a new or refurbished replacement at its sole discretion. --- # Disclaimers from Warranty This limited warranty is provided in place of all other warranties, whether express or implied. There are no warranties that extend beyond the terms of this limited warranty, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Clinton Electronics Corporation (CEC) disclaims any warranties, whether express or implied, that conflict with the written warranty set forth herein. CEC also disclaims any verbal assurances or representations made by any CEC employee or authorized reseller that contradict or expand upon the terms of this written warranty. --- ### Governing Law This warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under or relating to this warranty shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Winnebago County, IL. --- ### Severability If any provision of this warranty is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. --- ### Acceptance of Terms By purchasing or using this product, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms and conditions of this limited warranty.
